| Project Background
Purified water is a critical raw material and process medium in high-tech industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, microelectronics, and medical devices, directly involved in core operations such as manufacturing, cleaning, and formulation. Its quality directly affects product safety (e.g., sterility, absence of pyrogens), efficacy (e.g., drug stability, electronic component yield), and regulatory compliance. Pharmacopoeias of various countries (e.g., USP <643>) and industry standards (e.g., ASTM D7573, SEMI) list TOC as one of the key quality indicators for purified water and set stringent limits.
| Project Overview
This test employs a Total Organic Carbon Analyzer (TOC, UV-persulfate oxidation method) to quantitatively analyze the total organic carbon content in purified water samples. The UV-persulfate oxidation TOC analyzer is mainly used to measure carbon content in liquids. It uses safe ultraviolet radiation to enhance the oxidative capacity of persulfate, while a detector measures the resulting carbon dioxide concentration. The detection range extends from ppb to ppm levels.
