Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) testing provides a comprehensive assessment of purified water purity by rapidly measuring the total concentration of dissolved conductive substances, including inorganic salts (such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, and potassium ions) and small amounts of organic matter.

In this test, a benchtop ultrapure water conductivity meter was used to analyze the Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in purified water samples. The working principle of the benchtop ultrapure water conductivity meter is based on Ohm’s law and the theory of solution conductivity. By measuring the conductive capacity of ions in aqueous solutions, it indirectly reflects the total ion concentration. The measured conductivity value of the water sample (usually temperature-compensated to 25°C) is effectively converted based on its strong correlation with Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).
